Serving Images
Deliver non-destructive views from a global CDN — no downloading and re-uploading.
Raster is not just storage — it is a delivery platform. Every image you upload is hosted on a world-class CDN and ready to use immediately. You never have to download an image and re-upload it somewhere else just to put it on a website or in an email.
Non-destructive views
When you crop, resize, or otherwise adjust an image in Raster, the change is saved as a view — a separate rendition of the original.
- The original file is never modified. It is always preserved.
- Each view has its own shareable URL.
- You can create multiple views of the same image — a square crop for social, a wide crop for a hero banner — all from one source file.
This means you can revisit and re-edit any image at any time without ever losing the original.
Copy an image link
Every image and every view has a direct, shareable URL. Copy it with a single click and paste it straight into your website, email, CMS, or chat. The link points at the CDN, so it is fast for everyone, everywhere.
Download an image
Need a local copy? Download the original — or any view — directly from the image sidebar. Useful when a tool genuinely needs a file rather than a URL.
Served from a global CDN
Images are delivered from cdn.raster.app and cached on a global content
delivery network. Visitors are served from a location close to them, so images
load quickly regardless of where your audience is.
Because Raster URLs are CDN-backed, they are production-ready. You can link to them directly from a live website — there is no separate "publish" step.
Choose your format
Request an image in the format that suits the job, so you ship perfectly-sized, well-compressed assets without manual conversion.
In short
- Non-destructive — edits become views; the original is always safe.
- One-click links — every image and view has a shareable URL.
- CDN-cached — fast delivery worldwide from
cdn.raster.app. - Format control — request the format you need.
